@hansolo77 you're confusing linux drivers with retroarch input drivers.

udev driver in retroarch supports rumble IF

the core does (pcsx does) your controllers linux driver's udev implementation does (?)

thanks, but problem persist. When I install the ps3 controller driver, the onboard bluetooth of the pi3 stops working and when I remove it works again.

when doing "sudo service bluetooth status" I get the following:

Try launching a game and then post the contents of /dev/shm/runcommand.log.

I´m so sorry, it was my mistake. The file is in the correct folder, but I forgot the .sh.

Thank you all so much :) I hope it works now.

@c_death Glad you got it figured out. I got mine figured out as well. I had to follow the instructions here:

      https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Bluetooth-Controller

Under the Keep bluetooth scanning part I had to add the line "sudo hciconfig hci0 up piscan" to sudo nano /etc/init.d/rc.local

Now it picks it back up every time it goes to sleep.

      ?

      Welcome to the RetroPie Forums!

I would personally get another controller (like a real one).
Can we also see a picture of the PS3 controller? It could be real, it could be fake and possibly RetroPie is assuming something else.

@bshogeman said in Hotkeys such as select+start don't work any more.:

I must not touch the menu item retropie -> retroarch. Don't update anything within that app.

To be more precise about the danger of this "app": Do NOT enable "Save Configuration on Exit".

Can anyone tell me what files to delete, replace, recover to fix this problem without reinstalling everything again?

Look for the retroarch.cfg.rp-dist files and replace the retroarch.cfg files with those.

      Example:

      mv /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg.rp-dist /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg mv /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg.rp-dist /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg mv /opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg.rp-dist /opt/retropie/configs/snes/retroarch.cfg # repeat it for other systems

More info about this kind of issue here and here.
